How does CLEAR protect my personal data?
Privacy is at the center of everything we do at CLEAR and we are fully committed to protecting our members' information. We never sell or rent personal information. Personal information is only used to deliver a frictionless and secure experience with CLEAR. You can read more details about this in our Privacy Policy which can be reviewed here.
How can I purchase a CLEAR Gift Card?
You can purchase CLEAR Gift Cards online by visiting the CLEAR Gift Card page. Find additional support purchasing a Gift Card here. CLEAR Gift Cards cannot be combined with other promotions or preferred rates. Once the gifted time has ended, members can link their Delta SkyMiles® or United MileagePlus® account by logging into my.clearme.com.
Where can I use CLEAR Plus at the airport?
We're always expanding to new terminals and airports nationwide. To view our locations and hours of operation, please visit clearme.com/where-we-are. Also, find us wherever you are with a tap in the free CLEAR App.
Can CLEAR gift cards be used for memberships linked with Delta or United?
No, CLEAR Gift Cards can’t be combined with other promotions or preferred rates. After their gifted year is complete and they’ve renewed their Membership, they can link their SkyMiles® or MileagePlus® number by logging in at my.clearme.com.
If I have contacts, cataracts, or glass eyes, will I be able to enroll in CLEAR Plus?
Our Pods still work for those with contacts or glasses. Individuals with scarring or cloudiness on the iris, such as cataracts, may experience some issues; however, CLEAR Plus can be used with your fingertips at the airport.
What is your refund policy?
CLEAR Plus Members can downgrade their Membership at any time. If you cancel within the first sixty (60) days of the date you were charged for your current CLEAR Plus Membership, you will receive a full refund for that term but will no longer be permitted to use our airport lanes as of the date of your cancellation. If you cancel your CLEAR Plus Membership more than sixty (60) days from the date on which you were charged, your account will be scheduled not to renew upon the expiration of the then-current term of your CLEAR Plus Membership. CLEAR Plus Members on a trial will not be charged as long as they cancel before the last day of their trial.
How do I update my account information to keep using CLEAR Plus?
To update your name:
Visit a CLEAR airport location, and a CLEAR Ambassador can help you. Please bring your updated (renewed, not amended) I.D. which could be a:
- U.S Driver’s License
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. State-Issued I.D.
All forms of identification must be valid, unexpired, not amended, and have a photo.
To update your I.D.:
Visit a CLEAR airport location and a CLEAR Ambassador can help you. To avoid updating your I.D. again in May 2025, please use a REAL ID or U.S. Passport.
To update billing:
Log into my.clearme.com and select ‘Update Billing.’ You can also update other details, like your password or phone number.
Who can become a CLEAR Plus member?
Individuals 18 years of age and older can enroll in CLEAR Plus. To enroll, you must have one of the following forms of photo identification:
• U.S. Driver's License
• U.S. Passport
• U.S. State Issued I.D.
All forms of identification must be valid, unexpired, not amended, and have a photo.
Children under 18 can use the CLEAR Lane for free when accompanies by a CLEAR Plus Member—no enrollment needed.
Can my friends or family use the CLEAR Lane with me?
Yes! Children 17 and under can always join you for free—no account needed. There are two ways your adult friends or family members can use the CLEAR Lane:
- Log in to your account to add up to 3 adults for $99 each. Contact our Member Care team with their full name(s), date(s) of birth, their email address(es), and the email address linked to your CLEAR Membership.
- Use the referral link in your CLEAR email to refer a friend—you’ll each get CLEAR Plus for 2 months free. For every referred friend or family member who renews after the initial trial, you’ll get 2 months free added to your account.
How long does it take to enroll in CLEAR Plus at the airport?
Airport enrollments take only a few minutes. An ambassador will scan your approved documents and biometrics, and you'll answer a few security questions before entering the Lane and moving on with your day. After enrolling, you can access CLEAR Lanes directly.
