CLEAR Plus, TSA PreCheck^® and Global Entry are all separate services that help expedite different parts of the travel experience. At airports, CLEAR Plus speeds Members through the travel document check process on departing flights. CLEAR Members also enjoy an expedited screening process at sports stadiums and other partner services where CLEAR is used to confirm identity.

TSA PreCheck^® is a U.S. government program that identifies travelers deemed low-risk by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Once approved to participate in the program, it allows travelers to pass through expedited security screening at U.S. airports nationwide with no need to remove shoes, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, belts or light jackets. This allows travelers to enjoy a more convenient and efficient experience at airport security.

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Members enter the United States through automatic kiosks at select airports. Many of our members enjoy CLEAR Plus along with these other services, but CLEAR Plus Members do not need TSA PreCheck^® or Global Entry to enjoy the benefits of CLEAR.

You may take the quiz up to twice in one enrollment session. If you fail the quiz after the second attempt, you can try again in the next 24 hours.

This experience will be available to new Avis Preferred members who make their reservation at one of the available Avis airport locations listed above. You will only need to verify with CLEAR once for a faster rental experience every time.

Only you provide the images and biometrics we use, and they are only used for the services you signed up for. Today, CLEAR uses facial, iris, or fingerprint biometrics. When you enroll in CLEAR Plus at the airport, a CLEAR Ambassador will work with you to capture images of your face, eyes, or fingers. When you sign up on our free mobile app, you provide a selfie.

CLEAR’s comprehensive information security program utilizes industry best practices with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security, confidentiality, or integrity of CLEAR systems and information. Such practices include, but are not limited to, encryption at rest and in transit, firewalls, multi-factor authentication, personnel security, privacy and security training, and intrusion detection and data leakage tools.

CLEAR has been certified by the Department of Homeland Security as meeting the highest government standards for protecting sensitive data. CLEAR's security program was implemented in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Special Publication 800-53 rev 4, security control framework.

CLEAR uses LexisNexis to generate the identity verification quiz that is required to complete the CLEAR enrollment process. The quiz questions are based on publicly available records

Sports & Events access is free and available to all CLEAR Members. All you need is the free CLEAR app.

While signing up for the CLEAR App is easy and free, Members can bring one (1) adult guest through the CLEAR Lane per day at stadiums and venues. Children under 18 don't need a membership and can go through the Lane when accompanied by an adult.

You must be 18 or older and enrolled in CLEAR to create a digital vaccine card. You will be able to generate a vaccine card by linking directly with AHS, SMART Health Card QR codes from places like Walmart or the State of California, or one of the 600+ providers in HAPI’s network. A blue digital vaccine card will be generated after the predetermined waiting time has been met. We enforce the 2-week waiting period as recommended by the CDC guidelines, therefore your digital vaccine card will generate 2 weeks after their last dose was administered.

Customers do not have to download the CLEAR App to ‘Verify with CLEAR’. CLEAR can seamlessly fit within your mobile web, digital & in-person experiences—meeting your customers where they are. To learn more, head to identity.clearme.com.
